Halifax Town manager Chris Wilder was shell shocked at the end of tonight's game.

He said, "I thought we had recovered from the blows, we have Andy Campbell out, Darryn Stamp, and we lose Danny Forrest. We throw Alex Bailey on who hasn't trained with us yet. We have Junior who has had three or four days with us and a couple of loan signings we haven't been able to bring in. I thought they put in an outstanding performance against an excellent side tonight. We scored two goals against probably the tightest defence in the league. That's not being disrespectful to their front lads but they are well organised and by their results they are watertight and have an excellent goalkeeper.

To be done cruelly like that is the way it's going. It's an individual error again and it's undone us just after we scored our second goal. Our players are celebrating and it is naive football really. We are trying to build a young side, they are full of energy which pleases me and the youthfulness gave us the two goal lead. I think we gave opposition problems, created chances, and missed chances again but very naive just after they score.

I was expecting a lot more than four minutes and I know there were a couple of injuries. I was looking at my watch at 97 minutes and to get done with just one ball it's killing us really and it's naive defending. We shouldn't get done by one straight ball like that. The quality they have got in Daryl Clare has punished us quite hurtfully.

Jon Shaw will feel again he could have had more goals, he's had a great header from a Torpey cross, and Young should have scored. We have created chances against a good side. You could see by their reaction at the final whistle that they

Danny has done his ankle ligaments so I guess he misses Saturday's game and we'll have to take a look at him. Jon Shaw has shown great courage tonight as to be fair he shouldn't have played but it shows great mental strength that he has and what he brings to our team.

I'm lost for words really as in one hand I'm delighted with the performance for the majority of the game and naive with the defending. Two goals should be enough to win a game.

I thought Greg Young has done excellent, he'll think he's unlucky not to have scored. He's shackled their front men well and deserved his chance and took him.
