Halifax Town Chris Wilder was disappointed after his side's draw with Grays tonight.

I felt that was possibly the poorest we have played over the last four or games. It disappointed me at the start of the game, it was a quiet scenario in and around the place. We never raised the tempo at all first half.

I had a little pop at the players at halftime and we've come out second half, we changed it around bringing Darryn on, winning a couple of decent headers and linked up well up the top. We have had probably the best two chances of the game. Teams are sticking them in against us but we need to do the same against other sides and that was the ideal opportunity to win ugly and grind out a result.

I have to commend the players in terms, looking to make changes but I looked at Matt Doughty and no offence to him he's a fullback. I think that's probably the weakest side in terms of numbers I have been able to put out in my time at the club. It didn't give me the options to change it and freshen it up. We have got big players missing, there's no doubt about that. Even teams with the calibre of Manchester United miss their big players like we do in numbers. They take the toll. On the flip side, we have kept a clean sheet and defended when we needed to.

We need to show more belief than we did in the first half.

Simon Heslop has come in but after the deadline and we had Nicky Eaden lined up to replace Ryan Toulson, who needs to be pulled out as he's low at the moment and lacking confidence but we are unable to bring him in. Not sure what the rules are but we are not allowed to bring him in.We have signed non contract players all season and now we can't do it in his case.

This job at this football club is a very difficult one at times. I know there are a few people out there disappointed but I hope they realise what's happened today and looking at the team out there that we are struggling with numbers. It's a difficult time for the football club on and off the field.

I think if we'd have had a full compliment of players tonight we'd have put a better show on and probably got the three points on offer.
