Halifax Town boss Chris Wilder was pleased to see his side progress to the semi finals of the Setanta Shield.

He said after the game, "I think we got what we deserved tonight. It was a difficult first half for us this evening with a gale against us and a bobbly pitch. The lads stuck in there and I thought we created the clearer chances in the first half. Simon Heslop and a couple of others against a difficult direct side.

We stuck to the task tonight and I thought we were excellent in the second half. We dominated the proceedings and our concentrations levels were good. We are delighted that is two clean sheets on the bounce now. There was good contributions from everyone tonight and if it hadn't of been for the goalkeeper it could have been a larger score line.

We'll take the result as it comes, if it comes in the 88th miute through a penalty so be it. The players deserve it, they deserve something going for them. We've had shots saved by the goalkeeper, off the line and hit the woodwork. We've got to keep going. We have to be stood up and counted, I thought the players did that and we got the rewards.

The clean sheet tonight gives us a platform to go into the weekend with. The play at times was excellent on a difficult pitch. They are doing well in their league just outside the playoffs. I would imagine a lot of people may have looked at us and thought with our current form it would have been a home win tonight.

We can't afford any off days between now and the end of the season. We need to move forward to Saturday, we need the support of our crowd, there won't be many Weymouth supporters making the trip to us. The supporters that have travelled today have seen us put in a stong, confident performance and that's what we need to do on Saturday. Hopefully we'll get the league win that we have been threatening. We threatened at Rushden, fist half against Cambridge and for long periods against Stafford. We need to get the win at the weekend and it will finish off the week and use this result as a springboard to get on a run.
