ATFC Match :- Wilder's View
Halifax Town boss was pleased with his team as they drew 0-0 with Aldershot at home this afternoon.
"What a good game that was. Both sides have had chances to win the game. They could have put us to bed and we could have done the same to them.
I think it speaks volumes about the side with what they are about. It has done my head in people saying that they would not turn up today. They've put a side in with a couple in there to give them a couple of games but they haven't laid down for us and we haven't to them.
There were a lot of weary players out there, but we are still fighting out there. We have two games to go and we need points out of both the matches.
The players were unbelievable out there with the pressure that there is around the place at the moment. There are a lot of weary players but they keep battling and don't know when to give up. A few are playing on autopilot, I can't ask anymore.
They've had chances; we are in charge of our destiny. We aren't doing badly in terms of how we are playing and that gives me a lot of heart and it should give both the players and the supporters' heart.
The season doesn't end today; there are six points to be played for. We could have made it easier for ourselves; we could have made it harder for ourselves.
If they keep on keep on like they are doing, then we'll be okay. We can go to Crawley on Tuesday night and get a result.
In terms of the other results, they've taken their opportunities, we had one towards the end and didn't. I asked Jon why he didn't take the ball on but he said it was bobbling all over the place.
Santos took a whack in the first half and we'll assess him on Monday as to whether he will figure at Crawley on Tuesday night."
