Ban For Griffiths
Halifax Town midfielder Anthony Griffith was sent off tonight and will now miss the next four games through suspension.
Griffith, who is on a season's long loan from Doncaster Rovers, saw red for stamping early in the match at Aggborough. The three match ban will be added to his one game suspension for reaching five bookings on Saturday.
Town boss Chris Wilder said after the game, "I won't tolerate the indiscipline shown by Griff there.
I followed the ball, it's not a cop out but I didn't see the incident myself but the referee said he stamped on him. And if he stamped on him then it's wrong. I've spoken to a couple of people who have confirmed he did stamp on the player. I don't think there is any excuse for that. I want my players to be competitive and for players to win tackles but that's ridiculous and I am very angry at that.
Two sendings off in the last two games have cost us massively."
He will now miss the Grays (h), Aldershot (a), FA Cup and Crawley (h) games.
