Halifax Town have signed 35 year old defender Steven Yates, following his release from Scarborough until the end of the season.

Chris Wilder has made his move to bring in the former Huddersfield and Sheff Utd centrehalf following Denny Ingram's transfer to Scarborough and Peter Atherton's hamstring injury.

He started his career at his home town side of Bristol Rovers, making over 200 appearances for the club. Queens Park Rangers paid £650,000 for him in August 1993 and has since played for Tranmere, Sheff Utd and Huddersfield Town making over 500 league appearances in total with 10 goals.
