Will it or wont it?Is the match on? Another preview, another question over the weather.Fingers crossed, we'll have a game on our hands this week, and a victory to propel The Shaymen in to the next round of the Setanta Shield will be a nice early Christmas present for everyone connected with The Shay.

Our journey to Cambridgeshire comes on the back of the news that Chris Wilder has told another centre back that he is free to leave Halifax Town in January.Greg Young, the former Grimsby Town defender has joined Cortez Belle in the "Way Out" queue for the transfer window, and again this will come as a surprise to many Town fans.Wilder is not afraid to wield the axe with fans favourites, as we found out with Ryan Sugden and Chris Senior at the same time last year. This time around, it's likely that Young and Belle will travel with the squad, and both may even feature against the BSP new boys, although Adam Quinn and Jake Wright could be the partnership that starts the game.

In midfield, Tom Kearney will be hoping that the match isn't called off, so he can complete his 3 match ban, which will free him up for the Farsley Celtic game in the BSP on Boxing Day.Anthony Griffith is likely to partner Simon Heslop in the centre, and Darryn Stamp and Jon Shaw will be the men looking to put the ball in the onion bag.

Histon are currently riding high in the league in 7th place. They sit level on points with Forest Green and Burton Albion, and only miss out on a play off position on goal difference.Already holding Town to a 0-0 draw earlier in the season, they have shown to be a surprise package this term, as they vie for successive promotions.

Whether the two teams take this game seriously due to their respective positions is another question posed of this weekend.Obviously, the league is the more important competition for the two teams, and if this means that each team plays a "second string" side, it won't be surprising.

For those of you travelling down to Histon, may your trip be safe and successful. And for all Town supporters everywhere, may I wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
