DFC Match :- Preview
Chris Wilder will make changes for Monday's Bank Holiday trip to Droylsden with Adam Quinn, Tom Kearney and Andy Campbell returning to the starting line up following Saturday's disappointing display against Oxford United at The Shay.
Quinn returns in place of Tom Clarke whose excellent loan spell at his home town club has ended and he returns to Huddersfield Town looking to force his way back into their first team.Kearney's inclusion could mean a midfield reshuffle whilst Campbell's role may be dictated by whether Jon Shaw recovers from the ankle injury that forced him to leave the field against Oxford.
Andy Campbell will be looking to continue the form he showed against Droylsden at The Shay in August where he scored a hat-trick in the 3 v 0 win.And he could be up against two former Town players at the heart of The Bloods defence in Karl Munroe and Greg Strong who have joined from Altrincham and Northwich Victoria in recent weeks ads Dave Pace looked to strengthen his squad.
Town will face a Droylsden team that has struggled at this level with only 13 points all season, 11 of which have been won on their own Butchers Arms ground. But, with wins against Oxford United (3 v 1) Forest Green Rovers (5 v 3) and Kidderminster Harriers (1 v 0) Town will have to be on their game to take the points.
Jody Banim was The Bloods main goal threat with 10 this season but has recently joined Torquay United on loan leaving Chris Denham and Jamie McGuire as top scores with 5 each.
The Shaymen will be backed by a sizeable following in East Manchester with a sponsor providing free coach travel. And, the backing they can give the team will be important as Town look to head back over the Pennines with the 3 points.
